Just now installed and tested Windows SDK 7.1

I also installed .NET Framework 4 as it is a required perquisite...I wrote a simple native C++ program to test the SDK and it works just fine...Alhamdhu lilaahi rabil aalameen!!!

Yesterday afternoon installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview...

I began downloading Windows 8 Consumer Preview in the early hours of Saturday around 0330 AM...I installed it late afternoon Saturday but it was a failure...Installation was successful how ever the files were corrupt...Couldn't connect to the internet via my wireless adapter and I had to reinstall genuine Windows 7 again and have it activate through Microsoft automated phone activation...This time activation through the automated process was successful without having to speak to a customer support representative....phew!!!
