Yesterday early morning at night, I downloaded and made a live bootable USB flash drive of Kali™ Linux® which is based on Debian™/GNU Linux®...Kali™ Linux® is mainly used for digital forensics and ethical hacking and penetration testing...Many hundreds of tools and technologies are included in Kali™ Linux® which I intend to learn and use on my own but these are early days...
My computer network is repeated hacked and I have no choice but to strengthen my computer network...I have configured my internet router in such a way that it will now be very difficult to hack but no method can guarantee full security...I have downloaded the hw_ctree.xml configuration file and changed the default "telecomadmin" and "root" password by generating MD5 and SHA-256 hash tags and reuploading the edited hw_ctree.xml file back to the router...I have disabled SSID (Service Set Identifier) broadcast so that my Wi-Fi netwok name will be invisible...I have associated only 1 device to connect to my WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and it's my only mobile phone...I have binded the LAN1 port to my computer's ethernet card...I have changed the IP (Internet Protocol) address of my router and enabled primary and secondary DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) separately to the LAN and WLAN with the public IP address lease time to just 10 minutes and the DNS Servers to that of Google® and Cisco®...I have set the firewall level to High and block DoS (Denial of Service) attacks...Now only I can use my internet, which before I have come to notice has been hacked and accessed by many people including some of my nasty neighbors...
Early last year my Instagram® account was hacked for a long time...Than my Facebook® accounts got hacked and it took days for me to regain back my Facebook® account...Mid last year I regained control of two Facebook® accounts created using my very old email addresses...This year early March again my Facebook® accounts got hacked and I have changed the passwords and secured the accounts...
My personal ethics won't allow me to break or hack into others computers and online accounts...I don't abuse but all others will abuse me..
I intend to learn Kali™ Linux on my own and secure my computer network and systems...
