This Ramallan as usual I talk to my neighbor friend (whom I am not going to mention, who is fit looking and wealthy and worth personal assets to millions of Maldivian Ruffiya)....He gave a surprise and delightful present to me and also a beautiful cigarette lighter which I am now using to smoke during those days of this year Ramallan...
I didn't realize that both of us were watched and studied very carefully....My friends home is unbreakable by thieves or nearly so...The people who were watching us talking was interested not in me but my neighbors features...
Than one night late, I stepped out side and the light post was switched off...A man with small shorts who roughly looks like my neighbor was sitting on a motor cycle in the semi darkness...He asked me he cannot enter my home and could I favor him so he can enter...One apartment in my home was rented and I thought he was living in the apartment...But I said no and you can press the access control button and ask permission...Then I went to the corner where I usually smoke and walked again to my home doorway and he was standing in the opposite side...I asked are you still unable to enter and I allowed him to enter with my access token...I was smoking in front of my home entrance door and he went out, this time after changing his clothes...The next night I was again talking to my neighbor friend and I asked him "hey do you notice the street lights switched off?" and he said "yes"...Then we were smoking and said goodnight to each other...The next night I spotted the man who asked me to unlock our home security door going out and this time also he was wearing a t-shirt and long jeans..
Actually the thief was disguised and in make up...I and my friend was observed...After Ramallan ended, the Police have already stated to be careful during Eid for breaking in and theft...
My mother told me that a thief was seen entering our house...At this I exploded in rage and while these nights I hang around my home if that man comes I will give advise to him to stop it and that's not a good thing to go on life doing burglary in makeup and disguise and tampering with street lights...For Allah's sake and goodness, I will not call the Police and have the man arrested...It really won't work and neither will rehabilitate him...He will be just put in jail and when he is released, he will start over his criminal life again...So the best action I can take is to admonish him and be kind to him and seek a peaceful solution...
On 2 November 2014 there was knifing in K-Mart Cafe' close to my home and in 2016 I testified in Criminal Court against a man called Midhath Aboobakuru (who is registered in Male' Dhafthar) and this man who is entering my home closely matches the features of another man who has been summoned to Criminal Court for that knifing...I will tell him also it's not good to take revenge on me for testifying against your gang friend...This is my home neighborhood and I am living peacefully with my neighbors for all these thirty years...I don't want fights, drugs, child molesting, abuse, homicide, suicide and thefts or any other crimes to ruin my neighborhood.
